The platform is our laboratory. The field is the final exam.

We don’t try to make young athletes train like smaller versions of adult athletes. We develop the physical, technical and neurological foundation that lets them become exceptional adult athletes.

Build the athlete before specializing the athlete

Young athletes need a broad physical and movement foundation before advanced sport-specific training can work. Sport-specific training is far more effective when the qualities underneath it, like strength, power, coordination, mobility, rhythm and timing, are already there.

The Top 20 builds the engine

Our Top 20 strength battery develops whole-body strength, power, coordination, stability and technical control, instead of training only the movements one sport demands.

The Explosive Power Test measures how well the athlete uses it

The Top 20 emphasizes producing force. The TFNE Explosive Power Test measures how quickly an athlete can express it: jumping, reacting, and producing useful force fast. The progression goes like this: produce force, produce it rapidly, absorb it, redirect it, then repeat under increasing demands.

The platform teaches control

Olympic lifts make the feet, legs, hips, trunk, shoulders, arms and hands work as one system. Done properly, they demand precise timing, position, balance and control, not just the ability to move heavy weight.

A rep only builds skill if it’s a good rep

Hundreds of bad reps teach bad movement. That’s why our reps have to be earned: a rep counts only when it’s technically sound and at the load the athlete’s level requires. Athletes don’t advance because they’re older or stronger. They advance because they’ve earned it.

Testing finds problems before sport makes them bigger

Testing exposes gaps in strength, power, coordination, symmetry, mobility or reactive ability while they’re still easy to fix. On the platform we can measure them. On the field, they show up as missed plays and injuries.

From controlled training to chaotic sport

Sport is unpredictable. Weightlifting builds controlled, total-body force. Plyometrics, reaction drills, small-space games and Explosive Power testing then add speed, timing, reaction and uncertainty, so the athlete can adjust foot placement, body position, timing and direction instead of repeating rehearsed patterns.

That’s the TFNE system: the Top 20 builds the engine, the Explosive Power Test develops rapid force and reactivity, earned reps build technical competence, and long-term athletic development organizes it all, from fundamental movement to advanced sport performance.
